THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND BEFORE APPLYING LIPSTICK

Don’t we all go gaga over lipsticks? There is something mystical about red lipsticks. This little product has the potential to transform our appearance without the help of any other beauty stuff. It has taken the peak spot in the makeup hierarchy. The different shades of red have their ways of enhancing different skin tones. Here are a few tricks to keep in mind while applying any shade.

EXFOLIATE

You may not be aware but your lips have dead skin cells too. Lips need an exfoliating ritual too just like your body. There are varieties of lip scrubs available in the market but if you prefer natural then you can make a DIY scrub using brown sugar and honey. You can store this product in the refrigerator as well if you’re too lazy to make it again. Therefore, it is important to exfoliate before you apply your favourite shades.

MOISTURISE

The key to healthy lips is moisturising. Lipsticks tend to dry your lips out especially if it’s matte. This is every woman’s prime concern. You can shop for highly moisturising lip balms or make one at home using natural ingredients. Choose a lipstick which would moisturise your lips as you wouldn’t want your beautiful lips to look flaky.

LINE THOSE LIPS

It’s totally up to you if you wanna line your lips before or after applying the red shade. By using a red liner, you can not only keep the shade in the right spot but also for extra time. Lining your lips can make your lips appear fuller too.

PICK THE RIGHT SHADE

Choosing the right shade is another difficult task. It’s not necessary that if a certain shade of red or pink suits your friend it should suit you too. Go according to your skin tone. The shade you pick should flatter your complexion. You will just know it when you pat it on.

When you’re in a hurry, just one lipstick can save your day as it is multipurpose and can be dabbed on the cheeks as blush and on the eyelids as temporary eye shadow. Don’t be hesitant to use this bold colour. Make sure that you don’t get those reds on your teeth. You can let your lip do the talking!
